Allison Fall

Studio 355 founder and owner Allison Fall has taught Pilates, internationally, for over 20 years. She had a natural gift for movement from the beginning, studying dance as a child, and teaching it to others while still in her teens.

In 1998, while recovering from injuries sustained as a professional dancer for the Columbus Dance Theater and The Dance Cure, Allison discovered Pilates. She found it deeply helpful for her recovery and a richly rewarding method in its own right, so much so that she committed to serious training in the practice.

She was certified in New York City at Core Pilates, then continued her studies with the masterful Peter Roel, for whom she also taught at the Pilates Shop Yoga Garage in NYC. She went on to teach at Frog Temple Pilates in Chicago, and at the Arcoverde Pilates Zentrum in Berlin.

Her experience of using Pilates to recover from serious dance injuries gave her a unique understanding of Pilates as part of a holistic approach to healing, a personal specialty she still teaches from today. She works with all types of body issues and physical challenges, with special expertise in post-rehab, prenatal and post-natal care, and many types of chronic illness.

While in Germany, Allison committed to the discipline of Ashtanga yoga and earned her Ashtanga Yoga certification with Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty at Ashtanga Yoga Berlin.

She is also a highly skilled instructor of the MELT Method and "MELTed Pilates," which she loves incorporating into her holistic approach. She earned the highest level of MELT certification, Level 5, by training in person with Sue Hitzmann, the method's creator.

Alongside movement, Allison pursued extensive academic study of the performing and fine arts, earning a BFA in ceramics at Ohio State University and an MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focused on performance, sculpture, and ceramics.

Ten years ago, in Northern California, she founded Studio 355, a thriving practice full of loyal, devoted students, many of whom credit her with making a huge difference in their total health and well-being.
